Our commitment
Bubble Fresh (Bubblefresh Limited, company number 12691029) is committed to making our website at bubblefresh.co.uk accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. Many of the people who visit our website are vulnerable adults, family members, or professionals seeking support during difficult times. We believe everyone should be able to find the information they need and contact us without barriers. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Although the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 apply directly to public sector organisations, we voluntarily adopt the same standards as a council-approved partner. Our approach is also guided by the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), which the United Kingdom has ratified.
Scope
This statement applies to the Bubble Fresh website at bubblefresh.co.uk, including all pages, forms, blog posts, and downloadable content published by us. It does not cover external websites we link to, content hosted on third-party platforms, or documents provided by council partners or other organisations. We are responsible only for the accessibility of content we control.
Compliance status
We believe this website is fully compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not claimed disproportionate burden for any accessibility requirement. We are continually working to improve accessibility. If you find any accessibility barriers on our website, please let us know so we can address them.
Accessibility features
We designed our website with accessibility in mind from the start. Our website includes the following accessibility features. Structure and navigation: we use semantic HTML to ensure proper document structure, every page has the language attribute set to British English so that screen readers pronounce content correctly, we provide a skip-to-content link so screen reader and keyboard users can bypass the navigation, all pages have a clear heading hierarchy, and the navigation is consistent across the site. Text and readability: all content is written in plain English at a reading age of approximately 12, we use a minimum body text size of 16 pixels, our colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text), the website supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, the site works with Windows High Contrast mode and other forced-colour settings for users with low vision, and content remains readable if you adjust text spacing such as line height, letter spacing, or word spacing through your browser or assistive technology settings. Images and media: all images include descriptive alternative text, decorative images are hidden from screen readers, and we do not use images of text. Forms: all form fields have visible labels, required fields are clearly marked, error messages explain what went wrong and how to fix it, form validation does not rely on colour alone, and we do not set time limits on forms so you can take as long as you need. Keyboard and interaction: the website is fully navigable using a keyboard, all interactive elements have visible focus indicators, touch targets meet the WCAG 2.2 minimum size of 24 by 24 CSS pixels, no content requires hovering to access, and the site works in both portrait and landscape orientation on all devices. Cognitive accessibility: we use a consistent layout across all pages so you always know where to find things, navigation is predictable and does not change unexpectedly, calls to action are clear and use plain language, we avoid jargon and explain any technical terms on first use, and pages are not cluttered with unnecessary content. Motion and animation: we respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting in your browser or operating system, animations can be paused or disabled, and we do not use flashing content that could trigger seizures.
Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
This website is designed to work with the following combinations of browsers and assistive technologies: NVDA with Firefox on Windows, JAWS with Chrome on Windows, VoiceOver with Safari on macOS, VoiceOver with Safari on iOS, and TalkBack with Chrome on Android. We also test with Dragon NaturallySpeaking for voice control users. The website works in the current and previous two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We do not support Internet Explorer.
Technical specifications
This website relies on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA (Web Accessibility Initiative - Accessible Rich Internet Applications) to provide an accessible experience. These technologies are supported by all modern browsers and assistive technologies listed above.
